Mondaaaaaaaaaay

Banjo Rat makes a comeback! I seriously love drawing this guy, his story just writes itself.

So here's Banjo rat and his friend Trumpet Muskrat jammin' away in the Bayou. Looks like they are having fun.  I need to make an animated short of these guys, they are just asking for it.

They really make me immensely happy. They lend themselves well to the digital media I think. Some of the people I've shown this too think that the background looks to realistic and the characters too toony, what do you all think?

  1. Very impressive stuff. On this current posting, I agree that the characters are indeed "toony", but in a good way. They're cute-ish, but not overly saccharine. You could always try to cash in and this could be Remy's long-lost cousin for "Ratatouille 2"? As for the background, I like how it does look semi-realistic, but a bit blurry, as though these guys exist in a dreamy version of the world. In a lot of classic animation, backgrounds were often similarly done, if they were included at all, so that they wouldn't distract from the main characters. While the background itself is very nice, the focus remains on your two characters up front. Well done and I look forward to seeing more.
