She was born to be the woman we could be blame

Jezebel Iron & Wine.  I get to see them on June 3rd! So excited!

Don't have a ton of stuff for this post, but I do have this awesome piece of Banjo Rat!! I miss doing art about him, I really need to get back in the swing of it.  Just Trumpet Muskrat and Banjo Rat jammin away in the Bayou. They are so happy :)

I really like how the trumpet turned out, so shiny!

This is just a page from my sketchbook.  A fellow cashier at work wanted to draw a rose and he likes polar bears so I did this for him.  That white gel pen on the toned paper makes me so happy.

I am working on a painting, and I've got another gallery opening soon so that's all quite exciting.  I'm also learning to play the banjo! Banjo Rat will be such a well developed character :D

The Cascades

Fleet Foxes Just discovered these guys, I like 'em quite a bit.

I've got some older drawings from my last sketchbook that I'd like to post. Creepy Rabbit Guy doodle.  I really love making full blown drawings with ball point pen.  It's a surprisingly versatile tool.  I never finished it, but I'd like too. Creepy Rabbit Guy is fun to draw.

My friend Christian again.

A really rough sketch, but I like the idea a lot. I may paint it one day.

A Banjo Rat doodle done on a scrap piece of paper. Very very rough, but I love the pose.

This is a comic I did with Banjo Rat. It's the first time Banjo Rat opens his eyes! He's really socially awkward when he's not playing the banjo.

This is the last piece in the Rabbit Lady series.  I submitted this to the senior show and it got in! Getting into galleries is addicting! I think it's a pretty strong piece and I'm pleased with the end result.

Oil on panel.  18x24.

I've also been accepted into a local gallery in a show all about pets. I submitted the portraits of my dogs and my rats.  This is the first gallery that isn't related to a student show that I've gotten into.  With the semester over I've got so much time to focus on whatever I want.  It's fun, but also intimidating.  Hopefully I'll keep up with all my sketchbook postings :)

Let me sing you a waltz

Before Sunset OST A really lovely movie, fast becoming one of my favorites.

Lots of sketchbook stuff today!! The semester ended and I'm actually really sad.  I enjoy school and I'm worried this summer is going to be boring.  Well I suppose I'll just have to make it full of art!!

First up is a pug I drew. I've been interested in the different head shapes of dogs. I plan on doing portraits of brachycephalic, mesocephalic, and dolichocephalic. It's fun to say and I feel smart that I know that stuff :P

My friend Christian is a rockstar.

I like how this one turned out, but there needs to be somethings else, maybe a bird of some sort.

My classmate, Alex.  He was just writing in his notebook and I really liked the pose he was sitting on so I had to draw him :)

Carousel horse!

European Hoopoe, really neat looking birds.

My boss, Mitch.  He asked me to draw him so I did.  He's a hipster.

Oh filling up my sketchbook makes me so very happy.  Maybe the summer will really just totally rock with lots of awesome drawings :D
