Tangle in this trampled Wheat

Tallest Man on Earth I love love love this band.  It reminds me of rain, moss, cold sunlight and my dear friend Ella.

I've been having a good drawing month.  Feeling creative and confident in my ability.  I don't draw everyday like I use to, really only one big drawing day on Wednesday, but it works.

I've joined a D&D group with a few of my coworkers.  It's really quite fun. This  is one of my coworker's characters, Audre the Ignorant.  She's a shaman and a sort of darker character. I did this in watercolor, white gel pen, blue pencil, and micron pens.

This is my character, Reina. She's a pretty lady knight.  She isn't very smart, but she's strong and well loved.  I have to redo her though because the armor isn't historically accurate.

More character drawings of Reina and Argus her horse.  I really love drawing horses, I don't think I'll ever get sick of it.

Done for Ella, she decided that bison were her spirit animal.  This was really fun, I did flat color in markers then did the detail in colored pencil. I really like that process and I'll probably continue doing it.

Little doodle of me with my new hair :) And a unicorn for good measure.

Doodle I did at work, I don't wanna sound pervy or anything, but I was really proud of how I drew this lady's breasts :P

Figure drawin!

Going back to my plant people ideas.  This concept works phenomenally better in pen and ink than oils

Some little cartoon Emily's and Zoogie's

It's octopus October!

Some little motion drawings of Accordion Bear dancing

A copy of Brom's painting, Gazelle.  It's a lovely piece.

So that's what I've got! I'm pretty pleased with my artistic ability at the moment, I hope I can keep it up!

Thrift Shop

Macklemore This song had been on repeat for the last two days :) It's so funny!

September! I've been kinda having art block lately. I hate art block, really there's nothing quite so frustrating as not being able to create anything. Making art is such an essential part of my being and when I can't communicate my ideas visually it's kind of unsettling.  I think it's partly because of my new book.  I got this blue lead, which I like for preliminary sketching, but it's so so so light. I feel like my art is lacking the vibrancy it once had.  I've started going back to ball point pen and markers, but now my line quality really bothers me.  It's definitely a process.  Anywhoooo, here's some art stuffs.

First page of eery new book will always have some Banjo Rat stuff I've decided.

So this is the blue pencil stuff. I like this concept for the drawing, but it needs color.  I just don't know how to go about it. Any suggestions?

Blue pencil and white chalky/charcoal pencil.  This is doctored in photoshop so you can actually see it.

This is me.  Drawing what I wear is really fun, I like cute clothes :)

Switching to marker, I love the prismacolor, goldenrod, on the toned paper.

It was Allosaurus August in my drawing group :)

Went back to ballpoint pen and white gel pen.  I like it, but I feel more cautious and timid with it since I've been drawing with pencil again.

This is me at work ;)

More blue pencil stuff.  I'm totally addicted to Game of Thrones and decided to do a bit of fan art.

Feeling so cramped artistically, I switched to my crap sketchbook and just played around.  This is Inktense watercolor pencil and then marker.  It was good to just do some loose stuff that I didn't care about.

Really liked how it turned out in my crap book so I went bak to my toned paper.  I loved that I could add white charcoal and just regular lead pencil. I love Mucha ladies, as I know I've said before, and I've been really into filigree lately so I combined them.

It was so much fun, so I just kept drawing.  It was really rewarding to have a good long art night where creativity really felt like it was flowing.

Loving drawing pretty ladies and amazing hair, I drew a picture of a girl I know, Azin.  It's very stylized, but she's an absolutely beautiful person. It was fun to draw.

So hopefully I've started to turn a new leaf and get over this boring phase I've been in.  Being so inspired by art nouveau with its gorgeous decorative style. I'm really happy with the markers and their line quality. I really hope it continues.

Heartbeats accelerating

Kate and Anna McGarrigle this song has been stuck in my head for about three weeks, thanks to Ella Stevenson.

Geez, so art stuff.  Sometimes it happens.

My favorite characters ever :)

Copied from Robert Bateman

Museum stuff

This is an important drawing.  The banjo is what I'm thinking of getting for my tattoo. It'd go in my left shoulder blade.

It was genie June, and my genie looks a hell of a lot like Jasmine.

I liked doing the smoke for the genie, so I just kept playin' with it.

drawn from a photo

Museum stuff again, and an old lady with saggy breasts.

Animal people! I love playing with anatomy.

Very inspired by Claire Wendling.

She's a coyote.

From Dr.  Sketchy's, it was cowgirl and indian themed.  Trying out the blue pencil and I love it!

Das me and my boy.  Oh and a naked lady, I draw them a lot.

That's Zoogie drawn from a photo and it turned out a lot better than the one from my brain.

So yeah, sketchbookin' it up like always.
